This book is over 250 pages long, and you get both a PDF file and an equivalent EPUB file. The first chapter provides background on the humanities and a general description on how to take a class with ChatGPT as your instructor. It's a new, and amazing, experience.
Chapter 2 provides detailed instructions and shows examples of how a student might work with ChatGPT during a course. You are free to use it however you want; these are just for example to get you started.
The rest of the book is divided into ten periods, with each period containing two separate courses. The idea is that you could work through each period in 8–10 weeks, and in two years you would be done with the humanities. Or, you can pick and choose classes as you'd like. It's up to you.
In any case, here are the periods as defined in the book:
- Literature and Western Civilization
- Philosophy and Art History
- Religious Studies and Anthropology
- Archaeology and Linguistics
- Classics and Cultural Studies
- Gender Studies and Political Science
- Sociology and Psychology
- Geography and Media Studies
- Music Appreciation and Theater Studies
- Film Appreciation and Creative Writing
The structure of each course is as follows:
- A motivational introduction
- A description of the course as you would find in the course catalog
- An overview of the 8-week course of study
- For each week: a descriptive and motivational text overview, digital resources, guiding questions, and an essay question to submit to ChatGPT
- A final exam
